Where to sell fragrances

In person — flea markets, pop-ups, events

The fastest way to sell fragrances is face to face. People can smell the scent and buy on the spot. A folding table, a clean display, and tester bottles are all you need. Cash and a simple card reader close the sale instantly.

TikTok & Instagram

Short video is the #1 free channel for fragrance resellers. Film unboxings, 'smells like ___' comparisons, and your setup. Tag your city so local buyers find you. Add a link or DM 'to order.' One video that lands can sell out a whole batch.

Facebook Marketplace & local groups

List individual bottles or bundles in your local Marketplace and 'buy/sell' groups. Buyers are already nearby and ready to meet up. Great for moving stock quickly without shipping.

Your own shop or WhatsApp catalog

Set up a WhatsApp Business catalog or a simple online store so repeat customers can reorder easily. Returning buyers are your most profitable customers — make it effortless for them to come back.

Presenting your table

  • Group by gender (men's / women's) and by scent family (fresh, sweet, woody) so buyers browse faster.
  • Keep a few tester bottles open — smelling the scent is what closes the sale.
  • Use a clean cloth, good lighting, and a simple price sign. Presentation raises perceived value.
  • Print small cards with the 'inspired by' description so customers instantly recognize the scent profile.
  • Bundle deals ('3 for $50') sitting next to single prices push people to buy more.

Getting noticed online

  • Post the profit story: 'I turned $420 into $1,200 selling these.' Aspirational content spreads.
  • Film the same scent on different people and ask 'which one are you?' — comments boost reach.
  • Show restocks and 'almost sold out' — scarcity drives action.
  • Reply to every comment and DM fast. Speed of reply is the difference between a sale and a ghost.
  • Collect a customer's number or email at every sale so you can tell them when you restock.

What buyers ask (and what to say)

“Are these originals?”

Be upfront: these are inspired fragrances — not designer originals and not 1:1 copies. They carry aromas similar to well-known scents, sold under their own presentation. Great quality and lasting power at an accessible price. Honesty builds repeat buyers.

“How long does it last?”

Inspired fragrances are typically eau de parfum strength and last several hours. Suggest customers apply to pulse points (wrists, neck) for the best longevity.

“Why is it cheaper than the designer?”

You're not paying for the brand name, the celebrity campaign, or the luxury packaging — just a great scent. That's the whole value proposition, and customers love it.
